Below...When a massive fire engulfed the fuel storage area at Denver's Stapleton International Airport, Krishna Disaster Relief received a phone call asking if we could immediately help with feeding the hundreds of firemen who for an entire week desperately tried to extinguish the flames. However, at the time our step van was being repaired and unavailable. Not deterred, Krishna Disaster Relief went as an observer and here are some of pictures taken of the Salvation Army's Disaster Services in action. Once the fire was extinguished, the city of Denver and Stapleton International Airport presented the Salvation Army with a sizable check out of their appreciation. The last picture shows how a special tent was erected for the firemen and other emergency personnel to get out of the cold and rest before returning to fight the fire.
